Comments
Comments: We were curious to try a east to west traverse of these three peaks.

Weetamoo East: From Hall Pond we hiked south along the east side of the pond, hiking through hobble and some fisherman paths. At just over a 1/2 mile, and looking for a way to cross the wetland and brook, we aimed for a knob of land that had some trees (obvious on the map). Just on the other side of the knob we crossed the brook on a small beaver dam. We climbed SW'ly up through steep and thick terrain, aiming for a flat contour on the ridge north of the peak. When we hit the ridge at around 2100', we came to two quite beautiful view ledges, which was an unexpected treat. From here it was an easy ridge/woods amble up to the peak. We found a rock cairn on a small bump and a jar on a second bump.

Weetamoo: Rather than stay on the ridge, we dropped W'ly a couple of hundred feet, then contouring towards the col just NE of the Weetamoo. Very scrappy in places. From the col we followed the ridge to the peak. We found a nice wide open summit area, but as we were in a fir band, there wasn't really any views. We found a large cairn, but no jar. And to our added surprise, there were two other bushwhackers up on the peak who were out exploring the woods; they had come up from Chickenboro Road.

Campton: We headed W'ly and downhill back towards our car. Woods were much easier here than what we had experienced on the earlier part of the whack, and we made it back easily to our car.

Another successful bushwhack with JEM3.
