Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Fish hatchery gates are signed as open from 7:30 to 4 each day. Road open all the way to the trailheads (logging closure is over). Both lots were nearly full by 8 and were overflowing early this afternoon (most cars I've seen here). As an aside, Appalachia was already full at 7 AM.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Trail Maintenance Notes: A few stepovers and duck unders on Bunnell Notch Trail, mainly higher up.

Bugs: Fairly minimal, likely from temperatures in the 40s-50s.

Comments: Trails were generally dry (no snow or ice remaining) with some mud on the Bunnell Notch Trail.

Still a decent amount of wildflowers in bloom.

Somewhat chilly morning with a breeze and mostly cloudy skies.
