| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
About 10 cars when we started at 7:30 am and quite active when we finished. The 'pay' box was taped shut when we got there but at the end of the hike a handful of portable toilets lined a section of the parking lot and the boxes were open for pay. |

Blowdowns but all doable |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
No dogs on the trail up but a few on lower trails. |

There is not enough cortizone to tame the itching from bugs which I have numerous even while treating my body several times; my partner has close to none. I am just a biting bug magnet |

Lincoln Wood Trail, Black Pond Trail, Black Pond Bushwhack, Lincoln Brook Trail, Owls Head Path, Brutus Bushwack
What a long day but amazing weather. Lost the trail on Black Pond Bushwhack several times but gaia gps was very helpful getting us back on track. Sections of significant mud here and there through the trails but generally avoidable. Saw 5 on the way up and down many more going to the falls or going to camp around Owls Head. Glad we chose to descend on Brutus's Bushwack- a bit easier on the knees! |
