 | Comments: |
Hancock Notch wet with traces of snow & ice. Monorail appeared at Cedar brook, bushwacked around most water crossings. Monorail continued to Hancock Loop junction. Went clockwise on loop trail, deep snow into col before climb up to North Hancock. Narrow rail between the peaks. Used spikes down from South Hancock. Very slippery. Left snowshoes in car, could have used them between peaks. Only saw one group with snowshoes, we were only other ones with traction, everyone bare booting all the way. |
