Several blowdowns that are easy stepovers. Most have been there a while and are delimbed. |

Mosquitoes : 6/10 in the lot, 3/10 on trail.
Black flies : 2/10 in the lot. 1/10 on trail.
0/10 for both at the summit since it was cool and breezy. |

| Comments: |
Steep at times, but the trail starts off gently so you warm up before the tough parts.
Good footing all the way up. Some branches, leaves or high grass encroach on the trail at spots, so a tick check is recommended post-hike. No other animal larger than a squirrel seen the entire late afternoon. |
