At this junction, there is a snomo kiosk. Drove 2.1 miles, heading N/NE towards peak. Parked just a couple of tenths prior to its end, outside a closed gate #197, now west of the peak.

Comments
Comments: We walked past this gate and headed north on the gravel road for about a tenth. We entered nice woods and soon picked up the yellow blazes that marked the Pittsburg/Clarksville border swarth. (We got this idea from Bryan, Zack and Amy who used this strategy from the east side of the peak.) We followed the yellow blazes and small discs denoting the towns’ border, easterly for about 0.6 miles through easy woods. We then took a bearing for the summit which took us through easy open woods and up gentle topography. Jar on the summit. Returned out via the same.

This was a gentle hike and an awesome approach. Highly recommended! Another successful hike with JEM3 as we close down on the NH500. Second of 4 for the day!
