Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossings are fine. Stepping stones are ample, and pretty dry at this point. Still ample water flowing so you can top off your supply.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was in great shape. No blow-downs. Blazes could use refreshing -- they seemed a bit sparse in more than a few places.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One very happy dog on the trail, having her best day out.
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies and mosquitoes are utterly homicidal. Use bug juice, or you're a walking buffet table.

Comments
Comments: It was a good outing. Moat has lovely views from the top -- it certainly earned its spot on the 52 with a view list. Photos took themselves all day long, just one after another, with no seeming end in sight.

Details and a stack of photos are on my blog.
