Comments
Comments: Went up Castle Trail to summit Jefferson, trail was wet the entire day, rocks a bit slick. At about 3200 ft until tree line, multiple piles of moose droppings right on the trail. Entire way up was in a cloud but able to follow cairns. Going from Jefferson to Adams five had to cross a couple large/steep snow fields. It’s punched through once to my mid thigh, glissaded down one, careful crossing of the other. The skies opened up when I got to Israel Ridge to show all of Castle Ravine and Jefferson, was incredible. Israel Ridge is a bit slick, all rocks and roots couldn’t be trusted. Overall an incredible hike, both trails new to me. Saw a total of 3 people, had the place to myself!
