||Pine Bend Brook Trail, Mt. Tripyramid Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Friday, June 5, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Road parking only, no parking lot. 2 cars when I arrived at 8am, 3 cars when I left at 2:30 pm. |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||All rock hoppable. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||10+ large blow downs across the trail. Nothing I could. Move. Going under, over or around was easy. |
||Saw 3-4 well behaved dogs. |
||Lots of bugs starting in late morning. Off was deployed. |
|Lost and Found:
||I will agreee with earlier reports regarding the blazes being faded. Also, the Pine Bend Trail is difficult to follow in some places. I lost the trail once on the way up and once on the way down.|
Slight monorail in various places totaling 100’. Didn’t use my spikes, probably time to put them away for the season.
Torrential rain started at 2pm and the trails quickly turned to mud.
