Comments: Thank you to those who posted trip reports and information... very helpful.

Moran Notch Mountain. We walked up the Left hand logging road, signed Cohos Trail to Gadwah Notch. When the road bears right, we continued straight into and across a grassy logging yard. We followed the muddy logging road into the woods, easily crossed a brook, and continued on the logging road for a tiny bit further. We aimed left/NW bushwhacking up towards a S/SW spine. While we hit or crossed a number of logging spurs/drag roads, we kept to the spine which led us up through fairly decent woods. Hit the summit.

Cranberry Bog Notch Peak. We descended Moran W/SW'ly, aiming for the HOL of the notch between the two peaks. The descent was quite steep in places and rocky in places. Woods were not too bad. The notch was a bit muddy, but narrow and easy to cross by leaping from hummock to hummock. From here it was a short, but steep climb to the Cranberry through decent woods.

We took a SW line off the peak, aiming for a point on the Columbia Brook Road that was "this side" of the brook so that there wouldn't be any brook crossing. Woods and terrain were nice and we had a great line down to the road. From there it was a pleasant road walk back to our car.

Round trip was a shave over 3.5 hours. Another successful NH500 bushwhack with JEM3.
