Nice midday hike up Rowe for some much needed mountain time. Trails were dry with no mud really to speak of. On the way down I decided to explore the mountain bike route between the Yellow Trail/Mt Rowe Trail junction and the Benjamin Weeks Trail/Mt Rowe Trail junction. It is a nice meandering route down avoiding a switchback on the Mt Rowe Trail. Only one muddy spot on it and one large blowdown that was easily stepped over. Felt good to get back out hiking after some time away from it. |
