Gale River strong current on Sat but crossable by wading or jumping rocks. Higher and stronger on Sunday - impassable for our group. |

Good condition. Only one major blowdown on the trail, easily bypassed. |

 | Comments: |
River crossings were difficult on 5/14 with large group and some inexperienced hikers. On 5/15, returned via unofficial trail that stayed to West of Gale River, since main river was unpassable. Crossing tributary via fording or on logs meant getting wet but less dangerous than main river. |
