Walking beside the railroad the path was in great shape with remaining snow in spots mashed potatoes. No ice that I saw except between rocks. I wore micros for approximately 1/2 mile on the ascent and barebooted for the rest of the hike. Snowshoes went along for the ride. Time to put them up. After summiting Mt Washington and heading to Mt Monroe trail is mostly bare rock with some remaining sections of snow including a small stretch near the top of Monroe. The Westside trail did have a few stretches of snowfields with one spot as high as the cairn. It was nice crossing paths and speaking with a familiar hiker today as well chatting with a few others. Definitely a small world 🙂
