well we set off for an adventure and had a great day above treeline. Once on the last switchback before the cutoff is where the snow really came back but really needing spikes. There is a monorail but not for very long. Champney falls cutoff was a great trail that i did not expect views on either. It actually cut out the only ice that was on the trail.
