Comments
Comments: Followed the Cobble Hill Trail to HOL. Saw a possible trail further down which would lead moderately towards the summit so continued down the trail for about .5 miles: you can see this trail on the map. Located an opening and headed into the woods where the road became much more apparent. We followed it about .3 mile where it stopped heading for the summit and another fainter path head more directly up. Followed this until it disappeared. At this point, we started bushwhacking straight up to a high point where we hopped onto another woods road. This one lead us directly to the WMNF boundary marker and our first jar. Upon signing in, we saw Amy's note that the highpoint was actually another 100 yards south. We dropped back down onto the road and continued until we saw another high bump and discovered a second jar. Checking Gaia we saw that this jar was at 2306' and the coordinates coincided with those on Bryan's map. We signed in again then headed back down the woods road across the summit, heading north. This road stayed pretty nice and, as we descended, began to turn westerly towards our first woods road and ultimately the Cobble Hill Trail. We hiked back to our car on the Cobble Hill Trail, meeting a Jeep of all things not far below the wooden bridge!
