| Comments: |
Hiked the tripyramids today and although the trail was absolutely beautiful, it was poorly maintained and the blazes were faded in numerous locations. Because of this we lost the trail several times and had to bushwack our way to clearings in the trail which threw us off the all trails map route. Water crossings were all manageable however, water was high in areas due to melting snow. Spikes were a must about 2.5 miles up to bag all 3 peaks as the trail became snow and ice covered. There were also many trees down blocking the trail itself turning the hike itself into a fun little adventure course. Overall this was a beautifully challenging hike with a lot of vertical gain and no real overlooks or viewpoints from the top. |
