Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Success Pond Road is open with the usual rough beginning..gets somewhat better after mile 1..low clearance vehicles keep a sharp lookout, lots of protruding rocks waiting to take out oil pans etc!!Parking ok at trailhead, room for 5 or 6..more parking before trailhead..

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Water Crossing Notes: small one only, easy step over 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Success Trail in good shape up to the Overlook Junction both lower and upper; snow starts near the lower junction and it gets deep fast..Overlook Jct. lower has a large blowdown crawl over..

Comments: Just a trail check and work day, knowing hikers turned around yesterday due to deep snow after the Overlook Jcts..trail is usually pretty well maintained by Larry B. and today it was discovered to be the same..awesome view from the Overlook!!
