Parked at the entrance to Ore Hill Road which starts when Gale Chandler makes a 90 degree turn marked as Ireland on the map. You can drive in past the first house and there is a pullout with room for 2-3 cars. |

You can take Ore Hill Road to the HOL where you'll see an ATV road take a 90 degree right turn and take you all the way to the summit camp OR you can have a bushwhacking adventure like we did! Remembering that we were supposed to turn right up an ATV road, we took a right onto an old woods road about 1/2 mile up Ore Hill. We followed the road to the drainage then followed that up until it became a little too muddy. Bushwhacked the rest of the way above the left side of the drainage until we hit the ATV Road. Followed it about .2 miles to the cabin. Used the ATV road and Ore Hill to get back to the car. Nice area at the end of Ore Hill for some exploring and views. |
