| Water Crossing Notes: |
Heaviest crossings were just before and just after the intersection of Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook Trails. Lots of heavy moving water. Not many options on those for a dry crossing. I took boots off to stay dry on the way up. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Looks like a tornado(s) went through the top along the Hancock Look Trail. Lots of tree debris scattered about. |

Monorail on and off till you start up the Hancock Loop Trail. Highly recommend ascending on the north side for the loop. There's about a 100' section of slick ice that could pose some serious problems descending. Those conditions did not exist on the south side. Microspikes are an absolute must. A large section of the Hancock Notch trail is a complete creekbed. With all the slushy ice, mud, and creek crossings, plan on having soaked feet upon return. Very, very difficult to stay dry. I ended up not even trying on the way back and walking through the creeks. Felt great though. Saw about 10 people on the loop. |
