Comments
Comments: Bare ground with very little of mud below the second crossing of Tecumseh Brook (a bit of hard pack snow just before the second crossing). Thereafter there was a mix of snow monorail and bare ground or rock to a short way uphill from the outlook at the edge of the ski area. Most of the rest of the way to the summit was a solid monorail except some bare rock on the south facing Sosman trail on the summit cone. Bare ledges at the summit. The Sosman Trail's monorail to the top of the ski area was not as distinct nor quite as solid but it can be traversed without snowshoes. Two good viewpoints along the Sosman Trail to the ski area.
More hikers out and about than I expected on a weekday. Lots and lots of Trout Lily with some Painted Trillium and Red Trillium in the lower elevation.
