Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at TH at end of Trumpet Round road in Sugar Hill. Room for several cars parked head-up, probably fifteen cars if park sideways. I've seen both methods employed here. But today, place was deserted :)
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One small brook, easy to cross
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are several logs/posts laid across trail, near the top. I didn't remove them because they looked so much like deliberate barricades.., but I now wonder if water rushing down the trail didn't float them into those positions. Found no signs indicating closure.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Wore the bug hat at times, didn't really need it that bad. Found one tick on my pack at the summit, and another on my sock at home.

Comments
Comments: This trail is snow-free and in the category of drier than expected. There was 'some' mud, but it is drying fast. I did it in sneakers, without acrobatics.
I replaced the summit jar because it collects water and the paperwork was soaked thru the plastic bag. I took the paperwork home to try to dry it out; will return it within a couple weeks.
