Beautiful day for this Tough hike. There were no issues until the bushwhack. I opted to go lower than the established bw I took in March as with the melting snow in spots it was hard to follow recent hikers tracks. I definitely did some meandering both on way in and out. Snow pack is approximately 3.5 ft or higher with many sprucetraps.
Once on Isolation trail it seemed I came out a quarter mile before the previous bushwack trail in March. Spots on Davis Path could use some trimmimg. There was an ok monorail and only sank between 2-6 inches- other spots I postholed heavily even with snowshoes. Plenty of moose postholes and sign. Looking back I should've gone to a higher line for the bushwhack
