| Comments: |
Lonesome lake tr is nice soild monorail with a few minor icy spots from 2500' up to Coppermine col. On Kinsman Ridge Tr on both sides of the summit, its extremely icy in spots so crampons and an ice axe are recommended although I managed to get up and down with microspikes and no axe. I strongly recommend not descending the south face of Cannon due to the thick white ice is spots. Pemi tr is dry, watch out for bears! I had a close up encounter south of profile lake with a mama black bear and 2 cubs. |
