Comments
Comments: After some adventure hiking on Hutsman and Dana Place ski trail we decided to hit the Winniweta Falls Trails. We waded across the Ellis River and a couple of steps the water was well above our knees and it was cold. Thankfully the trail was mowed on the other side and it is easy to follow, at an intersection with the XC ski trail there is a map and a sign pointing the way. We made quick work of the nice wide gentle grade trail to the falls. Since we were adventuring hiking ski trails we continued another mile until the nearly abandoned ski trail intersected the Hall Trail (forest road). We then retraced our steps back and we stopped at the falls and took the herd path down to the bottom of the falls. The cascading rushing water was loud and lovely. Good day to be out.
