Water Crossing Notes: Three crossings were running low and easy hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: As advertised, tons of blowdowns of all shapes and sizes on the Mt. Stanton Trail, particularly in the section between Mt. Langdon and the 4th Crippie. Tough section of trail. Was never difficult to follow any trails at any point in time despite lack of blazing in some parts
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: great dog route, no scrambling. No water between Langdon shelter and Mt. Stanton trailhead (5.4 miles of rugged hiking) so make sure to carry enough for your pup
Bugs
Bugs: pleasantly surprised to find a lack of bugs yesterday

Comments
Comments: Snow patches began at 2600' up to the summit of Mt. Parker. Ranged from trace amounts to a few feet. It was still mostly firm and we were stepping in snowshoe tracks so it was fairly easy going. No spikes or shoes necessary. This section will be a bit tougher in the next week as the snow softens, but still will not require snowshoes as the snow is very intermittent with dry sections. The view from Mt. Parker is phenomenal. Some softer snow patches on the east side of Langdon, but not much. Tons of blowdowns and steep, gravelly sections made this part of the Stanton trail fairly unpleasant. Some great views on the crippies, etc. but nothing compared to that Parker view. This hike is a good option right now to (mostly) avoid snow and grab a nice view from 3000'. zero ice encountered.
