 | Comments: |
The first and last 2-3 tenths of a mile were clear, otherwise it was spikes all the way through. Monorail on Beaver Brook trail is very unstable. It was manageable on the way up but coming back down on the sections below the shelter was sketchy. Snow on Asquam Ridge and Benton trails is becoming unstable. Microspikes were enough traction but snowshoes would have been nice to have to avoid occasional sinking or sliding on the flat sections of the trail. Postholes are still deep enough in places to reach to the knee or hip. Saw 2 piles of moose droppings on the trail. |
