Comments
Comments: After looking at the Bonds from Liberty/Flume yesterday I decided I wanted to go there today. Wolfgang's post last night sealed it. Big thanks to that crew who broke a great trail up Bond and over to W Bond.

Temps were warm today, my thermometer hit 40 for most of the ascent and thus, the snow was soft and melting.

Lincoln Woods and Wilderness were muddy. Bondcliff Trail before the 2nd crossing is also very muddy. After the 2nd crossing it gets on packed snow. Theres a 3rd crossing, that isnt on my map (might be dry in the summer?) but I snowshoed that portion on the way down and it was much easier than bareboots on the way up. Between the scramble up Bondcliff and the trees on Bond, plenty of rocks to hop on. From the trees on Bond to the summit and over to West Bond its 100% snowshoes. The snowshoe track today had about 1 to 2 inches of powder blown into it and it was like walking on pillows for W Bond out and back.

Carried Microspikes, never needed them.
