Continuing a series of smaller hikes, closer to home, because I'm trying to do the right thing and mind the Coronavirus. I'm wishing I'd started this project sooner, because there are a ton of really good options beside Monadnock, where you can get your nature fix, enjoy great views (I saw all the way out to Boston today!) and not have to drive a huge amount. The White Mountain Guide is a great volume, to be true, but dismiss the AMC's Southern New Hampshire trail guide at your own peril. There are a lot of gems in the southern half of the state.
Photos and a more detailed write-up are on my blog, as always. |
