Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small, rough parking lot can fit 3-4 vehicles, and an overflow lot just down Buffalo Rd. can fit another three. Absolutely no parking on the side of Buffalo Rd - there's a detailed sign at the trailhead that makes this abundantly clear.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One easy rock hop near the bottom, nothing of consequence anywhere else.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was in good shape - just one muddy patch near the bottom. The steep parts of the trail were dry. Not a whole lot of blazes, but it's pretty clear where the trail goes even on the open rock. No blowdowns.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: None. Probably too cold/windy.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nada.

Comments
Comments: Well, my Plan A didn't turn out as I had hoped, so I came here instead hoping that all the snow would be gone. And on the trail, except for a few small patches on the loop, it was. There's still a inch or two of snow in parts of the woods (probably from Friday night/Saturday morning), but nowhere is it an obstacle to hiking in any way. The open rock sections are all dry.

It might have gotten into the 50s in southern NH, but up on the ridge, it was in the mid-40s with a constant wind. Certainly quite a contrast to the mid-70 temps last Sunday.

Saw 4 other groups of hikers on the trail - we all kept our social distance.

The rock climbing areas nearby are all still closed.
