Comments: Parked at the Kinsman Ridge Trailhead and did a clockwise loop. I had never done the section of the Pemi Trail between the Kinsman Ridge Trailhead and Lafayette Place, and it is very pleasant, except that the last footbridge before reaching Lafayette Place was washed out. I was able to cross a short ways upstream, but another option would have been to backtrack to the bike path.

There was a dusting of new snow last night. I bare booted to Dodge Cutoff, at which point the monorail coverage was continuous and consistent. I wore microspikes from there on. The monorail is stable, but getting narrow and developing a peak in places, particularly on Hi-Cannon. No need for snowshoes this morning, but there is still significant snow depth at elevation and post-holing will be an issue with warmer temperatures. I ended up taking the micros off maybe .2 of a mile before reaching the trailhead on the descent due to snow balling as it got warmer.
