Great peaks for views today with dry trails leading to them. Very quiet with plenty of birds keeping company. Do I get a patch for my physical distancing while hiking?
However I do not recommend this hike under the current circumstances. Felt I was intruding on the McDuffee neighborhood and discovered the AYF Camp was closed to hiking on my way out. After leaving trailheads along 171 were busy for midweek. Many white plates with red lettering. About 10% of of traffic around the lakes region was from out of state. It's going to make for a long summer and compromise fall hiking if folks don't show self control. |
