| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Livermore lot was close to full by mid afternoon, more than half out-of-state plates.
Ski area access road is closed/barricaded. There is a heavily posted town ordinance that you cannot park along any roads. Nevertheless, multiple Massachusetts cars parked there. I ran into one group (sneakers and shorts) and mentioned that it was no parking. They said they did not heed the signs because other cars were parked there. The cars all had yellow parking tickets this afternoon. |

| Comments: |
Did not actually attempt to summit (didn't feel like carrying winter gear), but hiked partway up.
Tripoli Road is still gated (beyond the Pipeline Trail).
Pipeline Trail still has a few small patches of snow and a few mud pits, but otherwise wasn't too bad. Mt. Tecumseh Trail had a few patches of snow within the first few tenths. I did not go all the way up, but I encountered groups that turned around due to the snow/ice further up. Sounds like there's consistent snowpack above the top water crossing (not surprising considering that April was colder than average up here and we've had multiple snow storms).
Still plenty of snow on the ski slopes. The race trail looks to be pretty much wall to wall, top to bottom. Gema also looks to have good cover. |
