Trail to Doublehead is on south facing slope so was mainly dry and in good condition. I ventured into the hardwood bowl to the north to see what I could see. I also investigated couple of ledges just off the Crawford Ridgepole Trail l.t. 1/2 mile west of trail junction. One of the ledges is quite broad and flat and provides excellent views of lakes region and is only 25 or 30 yards from the trail. It really deserves a sign and short spur trail. |
