Comments
Comments: Trail starts out bare until about 800 feet up, where micros are recommended. Minimal snow til roughly 1,500 feet, where it turns into a rototilled mess, snowshoes are recommended. The Spring thaw, and bare-booters, have made some sketchy parts of the trail more treacherous than normal, especially when crossing snow ledges over steep sides of the mountain. The final ascent to the peak is mostly slush now. Views were outstanding today, and the temperature at the peak was mild with low winds. Excellent day to be out.
