Comments
Comments: Walk gradually up hill on Ore Hill Road to the height of land. ATV trail to the summit veers right just before the HOL. I continued further exploring logging trails that spoked off a log landing, now a meadow encircled by stands of fir and spruce. I log road took me and Reuben out to a ledge overlooking the Kinsman Ridge; great view and a good place for a lunch or snack break. I returned to the ATV trail, following it to the summit and a cabin of the land owner. The summit is the cabin. I returned to Ore Hill Road by bushwhacking in a easterly direction. I descended over ledges that had been quarried by early settlers for stone they used to build walls and foundation. Also came across the remains of a sap house and many buckets, as well as a foundation of a home. I'm sure this was once a thriving community of Irishman.
