Comments
Comments: The Jonathan Gove SIte is an old cellar hole that must have supported an very large home in it's day. From here we took a bearing for the peak and proceeded along a really well built stone wall at first and open woods. When the stone wall ended it was a mix of skidder roads and open hardwood. Nearing the summit it got steeper but ended at Carl's Castle (as mentioned in Bryan's report). This is a snomo warming hut and contains a register so we signed in. We then tried to find the true HOL behind the cabin and encountered several bumps that could have been deemed HOL. Having covered all our bases and not finding anything that looked like a marked HOL (and not having anything to leave) we felt safe that we had hit the summit. I marked my track where I felt it was slightly higher than anything around.
