Livermore lot is open, so you can park there and walk up (as some skiers were doing). Lot was full upon our return this afternoon, with a lot of out of state plates.

Comments
Comments: Pipeline XC ski trail from Tripoli Road still had about 1/3 snow coverage, but was barebootable. Otherwise, not too muddy.

Mt. Tecumseh Trail patchy snow started within a tenth of a mile from the trailhead, with monorail much of the way between the first two crossings. Above crossing two, there was a good stretch with little to no snow, however, a few tenths prior to crossing three (top crossing), it instantly transitioned to full snow cover, initially 1 to 2 feet.

A group of 5 caught up briefly, wearing shorts and tennis shoes. They drove up from Massachusetts "because we were bored." They didn't make it past the third crossing (walking *upstream* to try to find an easier crossing, after grabbing trees trying while sliding down). Unreal.

We put our snowshoes on above crossing three and left them on for the duration (that is until we reached the bottom of the ski area). Not much of a monorail, in part due to reduced foot traffic this spring. Snowpack was generally about 3 feet deep for this stretch; shoulder conditions not here yet.

On the ridge, we took the Mt. Tecumseh Trail (right), which was rough in places; the scrambles have blue ice at the moment, and there were some nasty areas of postholes. Close to 5 feet on the last ascent.

Sosman Trail side off the summit is still fully covered, including the (buried) rocky stretch.

Sosman Trail proper to the ski area has not seen much traffic; snowshoes a must in the warming temperatures. Full snowpack.

Still good coverage on the ski area; could be operating. Some trails are melting out, and they are plowing the access road (not yet down to gravel), but Northside looked to have good coverage. High Country was still wall to wall. Sunnyside was melting out, but Gema was wall to wall. Green Peak still looked to had good coverage, including Chandlers, Clean Shaven, and Governors. Some folks out skiing, but very spaced out and quiet.

Beautiful spring weather.
