Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Only 3 other cars in the lot on Alton Mountain Road when we arrived around 830am.. Upon return there were upwards of 40 cars jammed in there with many lining the entrance road. I can only imagine that this is going to cause some problems down the road with landowners.

Comments
Comments: A much needed hike today with my SAR family. Trails were generally dry with some muddy areas. Old Stage Road was muddy down to the bridge and some minor flooding around the bridge made for some wet shoes but dry feet. Precipice Path waterfall was flowing nicely and offered a great breaking spot along the way. Only one minor spot of ice about the size of a dinner plate. Will likely be gone today.

The trails were absolutely crowded today. I have never seen so many people out on these trails before. Most were observing the social distancing guidelines but some were not. We always made sure to step off trail to let others by. Many of these people were from out of state. It is nice to see people enjoying the trails but please stay local if you can.
