Comments
Comments: Conditions are generally okay. Microspikes the whole way. Maybe 1" of new snow at higher elevation. Trail is in good shape and solid up to Pierce, with some drifting in the open area before the Crawford/Webster junction. Trail between Pierce and Eisenhower is not in as good of shape due to less traffic. Did not look like anyone in snowshoes had used that section of the trail since the last storm. Solid base with mix of unpacked snow and drifts, and occasional areas almost down to bare trail with ice. Eisenhower loop had some icy sections, and drifting just below the summit. Snowshoes would have been appropriate for some of the traverse between Pierce and Eisenhower.

Saw a cow and calf moose in the open field below the parking area. Also saw bear tracks crossing the Crawford Path about midway between Gibbs Falls and the junction with the Mizpah Cutoff.

I counted 16 people on the trail today. People are definitely social distancing; even the cars were parked with plenty of space in between.
