Went around the gate and proceeded climbing fairly steeply up the graded gravel road. After leveling off for a bit, we came to a fork in the road. Took the left fork, which climbed even more steeply to a cell tower. This was the Northeast peak, the highest point being a bump just beyond the cell tower. We went back down the road to the fork where we turned left onto a leaf covered woods road. After passing a beaver pond, we came to another fork. Here, we took a right and followed the road as it continued moderately up to an old aviation tower. We headed past the tower, continuing straight through the clearing and into the woods. In about .1 mile, we came to a clearing where we located the jar recognizing the North peak along the right edge of the clearing. Returned pretty much using the same route, reaching the aviation tower and taking the road back to our car. |
