Comments
Comments: Hiked down the Bennett Street Loop Trail about a few hundred yards and headed into the woods bearing almost directly south. The mountain is visible when driving in. I walked through several cut-overs, and slash. At about .3 miles I began looking for the "Red Dot Trail" that some reports refer to. I found it and lost it several times, whacking through thick stands of spruce and blowdowns. Trail became steep the last .3 miles. Near the summit, marked by a pile of stones, I followed the red blazed trail. Summit is forested, no views. On my descent I followed the red blazed trail to a clear cut where it disappeared about .3 m from the Bennet Street Trail. Much easier following the trail if you can, then my whacking up this cone shaped. Reuben was helpful in helping me stay on the trail mountain on my way down the mountain. No snow or ice to contend with.
