| Comments: |
At first the grade and footing was easy...then I reached the steep .5mi to the top. The snow was grainy and packed in the middle from sledding down which made fitting even with spikes a lot of work. Did a lot of hand and foot crawling up and slid several times. Planned on Field and Tom but decided on Willey alone. The outlook yielded gorgeous views and fed the grey jays some berries. I purposely slid on my butt for steep parts of the decent which was both nerve racking and fun! Saw no one on the trail until I headed to Ripley Falls and saw several people. All out of state plates! |
