| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Busiest I've ever seen it in terms of hiker vehicles; normal lots full and vehicles parking on the grass. Mostly New Hampshire plates. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Spring Snow |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Social distancing is causing a lot of trail creep; foot paths are not designed for people trampling the sides to get away from others. |

| Comments: |
Mt. Roberts Trail up through the ledges was mostly snow free (some snow/ice on the flats behind the pasture) with some mud in a few places.
In the softwoods above the ledges, there was instantly a foot of wall to wall snowpack (some of Monday's snow remains too). Footbed was firm enough to boot today, as the cloud cover minimized the spring sun. Final stretch to the summit was bare, but I could see plenty of snowpack on the non-south facing slopes. I would want snowshoes if I were continuing on the ridge. |
