Comments
Comments: Both the Winslow and Barlow trails had pretty much continuous snow coverage (although melting very fast), with some areas that were more slushy and icy. Large portions of both trails had glare ice hidden underneath the snow, and I could see plenty of spots where unsuspecting hikers slipped and slid. Even so, light traction was the way to go, and crampons are overkill unless there's a thaw/freeze cycle, particularly after the rain that's predicted for this weekend.
