Finished off our 4 seasons for this peak today. Definitely spring conditions with snow sticking to my snowshoes for a lot of the hike. We could’ve wore spikes but I felt that the shoes were more appropriate to keep a nice smooth trail and I love my televators. We started hiking late, 1 PM and I think the snow was pretty soft due to the warm temps and beautiful sunshine. Less people though as hardly anyone as heading up, maybe 5 others so we could step away off the trail if needed to keep a good distance from others. Another advantage to wearing the snowshoes, IMO. Saw several of my favorite grid finishers out enjoying the day. Stay healthy ! |
