 | Comments: |
Only 2-3 inches of snow from the storm and it was already packed down and turning to slush fast on the main trail. With temperatures falling below freezing nights, the trail is going to be a mess of frozen footprints for the next few days. Light traction will be required. Snow was 2X deeper on the summit, probably due to drifting. There was a sign in the parking lot from Alton PD warning of an uptick in car break-ins. Saw 3 couples, 3 solo hikers and one dog. |
