To the fine fellow ripping butts all day around others, thanks. Also, I packed out several of your butts that you tossed along the trail. Feel free to email me and I'll mail them back to you. |

After yesterdays big day, needed a little one today! The trails are in fine shape, the ground is bare only for a few moments so you'll need spikes almost immediately. The ice was boiler plate to start this morning (15F) and my hillsounds got me just enough bite. It's more or less ice until you get into the coniferous section then its a sturdy monorail to Starr King. The ridge walk between was frozen solid but chop suey from people yesterday. With warmer temps, that will change! Snowshoes went for a ride. Amazing views from Starr King and the blowdown section past Waumbek's proper summit. |
