Microspikes are a must if you want to enjoy the hike. Barebooting is doable but way too much work. Early morning trail conditions were mostly hard-packed snow from beginning to end on both routes. With the warm temps and sunshine, snow was already becoming a bit softer on the way down but didn't make much of a difference. Ice walls still covering sections of the falls but the water is ferociously running down the faces underneath of them. Beautiful to behold. Happy Hiking! |
