Comments
Comments: Parked at Seven Dwarves, walked the road until the herd path began (as mentioned in the write-ups by TKO and KTSoukup). Herd path is pretty easy to follow. I got a little nervous that I wasn't going the right way because it was drifting quite a bit away from Haystack Road, but eventually comes right out to the road.

FWT is easy to follow. Leaves/mud/slush down low, firmer packed snow up high. The trail looks like it's seen quite a bit of action, both from skiers and hikers. There is still probably 3-4' of snowpack towards the top, and this gave us a great view over to the Presidentials from an area below the summit.

Wore spikes from car-to-car, saw three other people total all day (I assume they were all headed to the Twins), and absolutely no one on Hale.
