Was hoping to snowboard more than I did. Beginner runs were basically bulletproof. Was hoping they would soften up late morning, but, they didn't. Decided to just go as high as Grean Peak (top of the lift) and see how the turns were. They were bad. Had to skooch down over some ice bulges or risk long sliding falls. Basically managed a bunch of skid turns on terrain flatter than my driveway, which is basically level. Made one nice turn in 1 spot where the sun had softened. Saw lots of people skinning up near the Sunnyside Triple. Hopefully the sound of my turns on ice warned them. |
